Geelong Rental Market Update October 2019
Our local rental market is also awesome even though the figures are largely unchanged since last month. The only difference in September’s REIV data is that the median rent for two bedroom houses has risen $3 to $323 per week.

Well how good is October? Daylight savings and summery weather in a bay city like Geelong is just awesome! Our local rental market is also awesome even though the figures are largely unchanged since last month.

The only difference in September’s REIV data is that the median rent for two bedroom houses has risen $3 to $323 per week.

The median rent for three bedroom houses remains at $370 per week and the same measure for two bedroom units is once again $320 per week for the fifth consecutive month.

Our October has been very busy with continuing low vacancy periods on all our properties. In fact, at the time of recording this video, we again only have one property available for lease.

We’ve also been busy in other ways with our property management training business, Mitchell PT, which has just held its fourth PM Learning Retreat conference at Waurn Ponds Estate – it was another fantastic event with Property Managers from all over Australia coming to Geelong to learn from some industry professionals.

And the other important October topic about smoke alarms. Most, if not all of our properties, have smoke alarm maintenance, but if you’re not a GPM client and regardless of you being a tenant or a landlord, ALWAYS use daylight savings as a reminder to test your smoke alarms.
