In these unprecedented times, a lot is going on in the property management sector, however, the data we normally report on looks ok but that’s because it is always a month old and that data is showing no change in the median prices of the categories we report on for Geelong.

That is, two bedroom units remain at a median rent of $330 per week. With houses, two bedrooms are also $330 per week again and three bedroom houses remain at $380 per week.

These steady figures may seem ok, but next month’s data may prove to be very different – we will report back as soon as the REIV releases the data.

In terms of our own market experience, it does seem to be business as usual with more fast lettings and only one property on the rental list at the moment.

It’s also business as usual in our office except for some best-practice hygiene protocols regarding entering properties and meeting with people. And we are very fortunate to be set up 100% cloud-based so that our team can work from anywhere if the need arises.

But now for some great news! We are very happy to welcome Sophie Kennedy-Rush to our team! Sophie is a Geelong-local with a lot of local experience too. She joins us as our Property Management Specialist and we’re looking forward to her telling all of Geelong’s landlords about the great services we can offer them.

And that’s all for this month.
